Full and part-time, licensed psychologists openings available.  Licensed psychologists provide assessment, testing, therapy and behavior management services to elderly clients residing in contracted nursing homes and retirement communities.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in assessment and counseling with strong communication, time-management and supervisory skills.  Geriatric Team Leaders provide on-site supervision for master level therapist and post-doctoral residents.  Position requires good customer service, networking and collaborative skills with an emphasis on providing quality care in a multi disciplinary environment.  On the job training provided and full administrative and business development services provided by corporate headquarters.    This is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed individuals who have completed a minimum of pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency.

Deer Oaks is seeking licensed clinical social workers to provide gero-psychological services in area nursing homes two to five days per week.  Flexible schedule, salaried or contracted positions are available.  On the job training provided and full administrative and business development services provided by corporate headquarters.  Ideal candidate will have minimum of two years clinical experience preferred working with children or the elderly with strong communication, time management skills.   Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide therapy and behavior supportive services on-site at area facilities.

Master Level Therapist Openings (LPC, LPCI, LMFT, LMFTA)
 
Full and part-time positions are available in the following locations:

Master level counselors provide therapy and behavior management services on-site at area nursing facilities. Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required for all positions.  Deer Oaks will consider applicants that are in the process of accruing hours for full LPC and LMFT licensure. This position requires master level degree in counseling and state licensure at a minimum of the associate and/or interim level by start date. Excellent benefits, including on-the-job training, continuing education, paid time off, paid holidays, and health insurance.

Collection Specialist
The corporate office in San Antonio is seeking experienced medical collectors to review and appeal denied Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance claims.  Candidate must have excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail and two to three years medical collections experience.  Knowledge of behavioral health services a plus, but not required.  Pay scale ranges from $10.00 to $13.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, benefits include: 6 paid holidays, 10 days paid time off, and health insurance. 

Business Development and Account Management Specialist
The Employee Assistance Program Department located in San Antonio seeks business development specialists and account management specialists.  These positions work closely with the Director of Business Development and Director of Account Management to develop and maintain relationships with potential and current business accounts.  Ideal entry-level position for college graduate in communications, public relations or marketing.  Full and part-time positions available.  Pay scale negotiable depending on education and experience.  Excellent benefits for full-time, flexible schedule for part-time. 

 
Gero Business Development Manager 
Performs a variety of duties within the Geriatric (GERO) Business Development Department to include telephone marketing, in-person marketing of new facilities, assisting with account management for existing facilities and recruiting clinical staff . Works with the Chief Officer of Business Development, other executive management and administrative staff to meet departmental and company goals related to new business expansion and retention of current business.
The person selected for this position will possess the following:
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Access and Internet
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task even when heavily tasked. 
  • Individual must be highly organized, self-motivated, independent decision maker and have strong communication skills.  
  • College Degree in Business Marketing or Management preferred. 
  • Able to travel as needed to distant, out of state locations with an overnight stay. 
  • Experience with medical and/or nursing home environment helpful. 
  • Knowledge of mental health services and needs of senior adults helpful as well.
  • Prior marketing experience a plus

Provisional Psychologist Openings - Texas

First, congratulations on completing the final steps of Texas licensure.  For most, the provisional licensure process can be a difficult time in their professional career.  Especially, as individuals balance the need for employment with the impossible timeline of licensure through the Texas board.  Deer Oaks, a leader in the delivery of geriatric psychology services, has found a solution that works!  We employ provisional psychologists that have found themselves in licensure limbo.  Provisional psychologist can join our team at a salary up to $55,000 with a post-licensure commitment. 

If you plan on becoming licensed after the July orals, we can consider you for placement on our team as a licensed psychologist in the fall.  We would be happy to add you to one of the following Texas teams: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Midland, Amarillo, Brownwood, Austin, Corpus Christi, Victoria, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley.

Our teams provide a combination of the following services: comprehensive psychological evaluations, family therapy, individual psychotherapy and behavior management or supportive therapy to geriatric patients residing in long-term care facilities in their surrounding community.  Our staff works with senior adults that are struggling with a recent change in physical health status, adjustment to the nursing facility environment and are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety.  Additionally, we work with seniors that have an extensive history of chronic mental health needs and/or may have some level of cognitive decline due to traumatic brain injury, stroke or very early stages of dementia or Alzheimer.  Our staff work in conjunction with facility medical staff and use a multi-disciplinary treatment approach.
