Leadership Transition at Deer Oaks: Welcoming Our New CEO
At Deer Oaks Behavioral Health, our mission has always been to provide exceptional behavioral health services to older adults in long-term care and senior living communities. Today, we share an important leadership update that reflects our continued growth and commitment to this mission.
After years of dedicated service, Dr. Susan Norris has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Norris has been a valued leader whose guidance and dedication helped strengthen Deer Oaks’ ability to meet the behavioral health needs of the residents and facilities we serve. We thank her for her leadership and wish her the very best in her next professional chapter.
We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Philip Chauvin has been appointed as the new CEO of Deer Oaks. Dr. Chauvin is a licensed Clinical Psychologist trained in Geropsychology, with over twelve years of experience providing patient care and program management in long-term care settings. In his career, he has overseen clinical provider operations, advanced behavioral health programming, and led initiatives designed to improve care quality and regulatory compliance.
Most recently, as Chief Clinical Lead at Deer Oaks, Dr. Chauvin has shown exceptional leadership and commitment to our mission. His clinical expertise, operational experience, and passion for serving older adults uniquely position him to lead Deer Oaks into the future.
“Deer Oaks is uniquely positioned to make a lasting impact on the lives of older adults,” Dr. Chauvin said. “I am honored to lead such a dedicated team of clinicians and staff, and I look forward to continuing our mission of providing exceptional behavioral health care in long-term care and senior living communities.”
As we move forward, Deer Oaks remains committed to advancing behavioral health solutions that enhance the quality of life for residents, support the staff who care for them, and strengthen the organizations we partner with.
